Touba Yamal co-creation workshop
As part of the development of its 2025-2029 Strategic Plan by the Haske Conseils Cabinet, Our Legacy Foundation brought together its beneficiaries in Touba Yamal, in the Diourbel region, on Friday October 18, 2024 for a co-creation and alignment with the strategic objectives and priority areas of the Foundation over the next 5 years.
The first beneficiaries of the pilot greenhouses offered by Our Legacy Foundation in 2024, the women of REFAN (Saint-Louis), SOCOPA (Potou Louga), FFPMN (Sangalkam) and GIE MAME DIARRA of Touba Yamal (Diourbel) shared their respective experiences as well as the successes noted with greenhouse cultivation.
This consultation framework was a privileged moment for women to recall the real challenges that women farmers continue to face regarding access to land and inputs, access to skills and technologies, access to profitable markets. and to the conservation spaces for their products/processing units, the pressing and unavoidable need to control climate change for the continuity of crops, access to financing, among others.
After a day rich in sharing experiences and expertise, these agricultural champions formulated concrete and relevant recommendations to be adopted by the Foundation to effectively respond to the needs and priorities of rural women farmers to achieve its vision of empower 3 million women farmers in Senegal and the Sahel by 2029.
