Training session in partnership with USAID for women from the Mame Diarra GIE of Touba Yamal

As part of our partnership with USAID Entrepreneurship & Investment to strengthen the technical and financial capacities of women’s groups that we have equipped with modern greenhouse cultivation infrastructure, Our Legacy Foundation co-organized a first training session intended for women of the GIE Mame Diarra of Touba Yamal, in the Diourbel region.

From October 29 to 31, 2024, 114 women members of this GIE participated in our awareness, training and inspiration sessions. They also benefited from intensive training in project structuring, entrepreneurship, marketing and financial education, based on practical cases from their daily lives and delivered in the local language. At the end of these three days, the participants left better equipped to manage their agricultural projects.

Training will continue in the regions of Thiès, Saint-Louis and Louga between November and December 2024, in order to enable women beneficiaries of our modern equipment to strengthen their management skills and make their agricultural projects more sustainable.
